Anxiety

Anxiety often isn't "too much worrying" — it's a nervous system that learned, for good reason, to stay on alert. Therapy focuses on understanding where that alarm system came from and helping your body and mind learn that it's safe to soften, without pathologizing the very strategies that once kept you safe.

Our approach

[Placeholder copy — replace with Kayla's own clinical voice.] We approach anxiety as an intelligent nervous system response, not a personal failing. Much of the work involves building a felt sense of safety in the body — through psychoeducation on the nervous system, grounding and regulation skills, and, where relevant, trauma processing that addresses the root of hypervigilance rather than only its symptoms.

You won't be asked to "just relax." Instead, we work at a pace your system can tolerate, building capacity gradually so regulation becomes more available in daily life — not just in the therapy room.

What to expect

[Placeholder] Expect a blend of practical tools (for the moments anxiety spikes) and deeper relational and trauma-informed work (to address what's driving it long-term). Progress is collaborative and paced to what feels manageable for you.
