Depression

Depression can feel like being disconnected from your own life — from motivation, from the people you love, from a sense of who you are. Therapy here isn't about being told to "think positive." It's about understanding what depression is protecting you from, and building a path back to yourself at a pace that feels sustainable.

Our approach

[Placeholder copy — replace with Kayla's own clinical voice.] Depression rarely shows up on its own — it's often intertwined with grief, burnout, relational wounds, or the long-term effects of unresolved trauma. Rather than treating depression as a problem to be eliminated, we work together to understand its function: what is it protecting, numbing, or signaling? From there, we build gentle, concrete steps back toward engagement, agency, and self-trust.

Sessions are collaborative and non-hierarchical — you are the expert on your own life, and therapy is a space to think and feel out loud with someone who is trauma-informed and won't ask you to perform wellness before you're ready for it.

What to expect

[Placeholder] Early sessions focus on stabilization and understanding your history and current context. As trust builds, we move at your pace into deeper work — which may include processing past experiences, identifying patterns that keep depression entrenched, and reconnecting with values and relationships that matter to you.
