Trauma

Trauma can shape how safe the world feels, how much you trust yourself and others, and how you relate to your own body. This work is grounded in the belief that healing isn't about being fixed — it's about creating the conditions for your own capacity for growth and self-trust to re-emerge.

Our approach

[Placeholder copy — replace with Kayla's own clinical voice, including named modalities such as EMDR, IFS, somatic approaches, etc. as applicable.] Trauma therapy here is paced and consent-driven. Before any processing work begins, we build safety, resourcing, and a strong working relationship — because trauma work asks a lot of the nervous system, and pacing is part of what makes it effective rather than re-traumatizing.

The work is collaborative and non-hierarchical: you decide what you're ready to explore and when. The goal isn't to erase what happened, but to help it stop running the show — so you can live a life that feels self-directed, connected, and yours.

What to expect

[Placeholder] Depending on your needs, this may include stabilization and grounding work, processing specific memories or patterns, and rebuilding a relationship with your body and emotions. We move at a pace that respects your nervous system's capacity.
